Well another turkey shoot gone down well . Weather fine good food lots of prizes and enough shooters to not go in the hole . Big thanks to every one that showed up and for the help afterwards cleaning up .
We had 17 shooters , another 10 or 15 would have been nice --- BUT ! 10 muzzleloaders and 7 pointy bullet shooters . 5 of the muzzleloaders were from Baker . The 2 lady shooters were muzzleloaders .
One lady ( Sunshine ) had a higher overall score than 4 of the pointy bullet shooters . Matter of fact she also won both of the hand gun relays overall . ( take that guys )
We had 1 100 yd target , 3 50 yd targets and 3 25 yd targets for rifles and 2 25 yd targets for hand guns and of course the infamous string shoot .
Turkey winners were Stan Terry , Jim Grey , Gary Langlitz and Dave Bingner in the pointy bullet class . In the muzzleloader class were Lester , Crockett , Crazy Hawk , Sunshine and Windy Lee . Over all top score was Gary Langlitz w/ 289 Dave w/275 Stan w/ 273 Sunshine w/ 257 Jim w/ 250 ( beat by a gurl !! )
" NOTE " Stan used one of Hubbles guns ---- see scores . You would think Jim would learn one of these years . One of Stans groups ( 5 shots ) was about the size of a dime 50xxx . Garys was a 49xx just a tad bit larger
Acorn managed to shoot her ramrod ( a 3/8 solid brass one ) --- no score --- but a lot of recoil probly turned her plum around . Never found it either . Anybody finding it you know who it belongs to . Somebody else shot one too but didnt own up to it . I found it after the match was over .
String cut winners
Crazy Hawk smoked sausage
Bobby game hen
Crockett little smokies
Lester bacon
Frank ham the onlyist pointy bullet shooter to cut a string an with a pistol to boot
Sunshine weiners
Bobby also won a game hen for having the lowest over all score ( 18 ) not a good day huh ?
Thanks to Sunshine we alll had a good bowl of chili. We also had donuts and coffee and a good warm fire .
Well thats the way this story ends . See ya next year
